Ah, The Lazy Goat. I love grabbing a table overlooking the Reedy River. When I visit, I always share several small plates—that’s the Mediterranean way! Their tapas, mixing flavors from Spain to Morocco, are perfect for grazing. I particularly enjoy their Gnocchi Sardi and the famous fried goat cheese. It’s always a lively, unique dining experience.

Coming soon: Cheryl’s Kitchen Potato Boat is opening its doors at 860 S. Church St., taking over the former Farm Fresh Fast spot. Run by local couple Cheryl and Keldrick Sapp, this spot brings comfort food with heart to downtown Greenville. Opening date: late November or early December.

Just 30 minutes from Greenville, The Christmas House in Inman is a holiday tradition that’s absolutely worth the drive. This free, drive-through display features more than 130,000 lights, transforming a single home into one of the biggest and brightest shows in the Upstate. The variety of decorations is stunning—honestly, even the Grinch would crack a smile. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated.
