RESTAURANT SCENE

Trappe Door

Price range: $27-$46

The Trappe Door in Greenville is a cozy, wood-filled spot that feels a bit like a secret hideout. The staff is super friendly, and the food? Let’s just say the short ribs—tender and tasty with creamy mashed potatoes—are worth writing home about. It’s a tad pricey, but the warm vibe and great beer selection make it a solid pick for a special night out.

You can mess around with resin pours that look like ocean waves, make jewelry, try pyrography (that's wood burning, fancy name included), create mosaics, or work with beach glass. It's less about being perfect and more about having fun and seeing what you can make.

Dog of the Week

Meet Chance!! The ultimate goofy sweetheart! This snuggly, playful pup is full of love and charm. Chance joyfully greets you with wagging tail and happy toe taps. He’s a well-mannered boy with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Find out more

Recipe of the Week

Ever tried chicken tinga tacos? I just love these tacos. The smoky chipotle chicken with creamy avocado and a squeeze of lime is ridiculously good. Twenty minutes, minimal effort, maximum flavor. Not sure why, but you won’t find chicken tinga much in Mexican restaurants in the U.S., although it is very common dish in Mexico. If you want something authentic, give these a taste. Get the recipe
