If you find yourself wandering near Legacy Park in Verdae and smell something that’s half Charleston, half Paris, you’ve found Stella’s Southern Brasserie. It’s the "metropolitan" sibling to the original Stella’s in Simpsonville, and it has successfully carved out a niche as the neighborhood’s unofficial living room.
The vibe is "approachable elegance." It’s polished enough for an anniversary dinner, but casual enough that you won't feel out of place grabbing a coffee from their side café in your weekend athleisure.

The "Southern-Brasserie" Fusion: It’s one of the few places where you can pivot from French Onion Soup to Shrimp & Grits without the menu feeling like it has an identity crisis.

Amicalola Falls State Park
Just about 2.5 hours from Greenville, Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge in Georgia is a mountain escape worth the drive.
The park is home to Amicalola Falls, a stunning 729-foot cascade—the tallest waterfall in the Southeast. Visitors can take an easily accessible pathway for a scenic overlook or tackle the staircase trail and earn bragging rights with the park’s Canyon Climbers Club.
Hikers can also start the 8.5-mile approach trail to Springer Mountain, the southern gateway to the Appalachian Trail, while shorter trails offer plenty of day-hike options.
Stay at the mountain-top lodge, rent a cottage, or camp under the stars. Before heading out, stop by the Maple Restaurant, known for sweeping mountain views and a popular Sunday brunch buffet.
And if you're the spontaneous type, the weather is looking pretty good this weekend—currently showing around 70° on Saturday. Not a bad excuse for a quick mountain getaway.
