Andrew’s Valley Rail Tours

Starting at the Andrews Train Depot, you'll board your choice of an electric pedal-assist railbike, passenger cart, or speeder for a 9-mile ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains. The route winds past farms, over the river, and deep into the woods — keep an eye out for wildflowers, mountain laurels, rhododendrons, curious cows, and, if you're lucky, a bald eagle or great gray heron.

The highlight is the Valley River Tunnel, hand-carved by Southern Railway workers in the 1890s. Step inside and feel the temperature drop 10–15 degrees. You'll have time to explore and enjoy a picnic before heading back to the depot.
